My Fantasy Award-Winning Speech

It had been a while since I took part in a role play, but now, thanks to my daughter, I can usually become another creature. On the other hand, although I’m not too fond of football, I like the idea of the “fantasy football” concept, a game in which you get to assemble an imaginary team of real-life players and see (dream!) of what happens.

So taking my cue from role-playing and fantasizing, I’ve decided to write my Thank You speech for the awards ceremony that I have made-up, in which I am the most awarded of the night.

I still haven't figure out for what ceremony or category, and I don’t care because I just won an award.

“I want to thank God for giving me my mission, my life coach for the upgrade version of the map of my life and work; my health insurance for providing me unlimited (and free) visits to my psychotherapist; my blood and chosen family for their support, love, and unsolicited advice. To my mommy tribe and drinking buddies for helping with my sanity or lack thereof; my daughter for being a ray of light, and for the magic, love, and chaos she brings to my life; and to Bombón… words are not enough to express how much I love, need and want you so I’ll show you tonight! (wink, wink).” THANK YOU!
